About

My story
I am an environmental engineer and doctoral researcher working where water science, separation technology and microscale engineering meet.
Growing up in Bangladesh, I learned early that education could be both a privilege and a way to create new possibilities. That belief shaped a research journey that has taken me from studying civil engineering in Dhaka, to completing a degree in environmental engineering in South Korea, where I worked on membrane bioreactor techniques, and now to microfluidic separation science in Tasmania.
I am motivated by practical environmental questions and by the challenge of moving between disciplines. My current work focuses on 3D-printed spiral inertial microfluidic techniques for bacteria separation and detection in water.
Beyond the laboratory, I value mentoring, photography, travel and the conversations that happen when people from different places approach the same problem with fresh eyes.
